PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing a large amount of lithium-transition metal oxides which have a highly homogeneous surface state with scarce irregularities, which are fine, and which exhibit high performance.SOLUTION: An aqueous solution of a transition metal (excluding manganese) or a transition metal-containing compound (excluding manganese-containing compounds), phosphoric acid or a phosphoric acid-containing compound, and a lithium-containing compound is charged into a hermetic container and irradiated with microwaves. Alternatively, a mixed liquid obtained by mixing, with a water-containing solvent, a transition metal (excluding manganese) or a transition metal-containing compound (excluding manganese-containing compounds), phosphoric acid or a phosphoric acid-containing compound, and a lithium-containing compound is charged into a hermetic container and irradiated with microwaves. Alternatively, an admixture obtained by mixing a transition metal (excluding manganese) or a transition metal-containing compound (excluding manganese-containing compounds), phosphoric acid or a phosphoric acid-containing compound, and a lithium-containing compound is charged into a hermetic container and irradiated with microwaves, where at least one selected from the transition metal, the transition metal-containing compound, the phosphoric acid, the phosphoric acid-containing compound, and the lithium-containing compound is a hydrate-containing compound.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
