PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive light-emitting device with bright image quality, and an electric appliance including the light-emitting device.SOLUTION: A light-emitting device comprises a pixel portion and a driver circuit on a substrate 11 and an insulator film 12. The pixel portion and driver circuit are all formed using n-channel type TFTs 201, 202, 203, and 204. An EL element 40 provided for the pixel portion emits light in a direction getting away from the insulator film 12, and almost the entire pixel electrode 31 serves as an effective light emission region.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
