PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide modified pigments having low phosphate release values and good print properties, and inkjet ink compositions comprising the modified pigments.SOLUTION: A modified pigment comprises a pigment attached to an organic group, where the organic group comprises at least one group having a formula -SO2-Q-CH(PO3H2)2, partial ester thereof, or salt thereof, where Q is O, S or NR'; R' is H, C1-C18 alkyl, C1-C18 acyl, aralkyl, alkaryl or aryl. An inkjet ink composition comprises a liquid vehicle and the modified pigment, where the modified pigment has a phosphate release value less than or equal to 1% after 1 week at 70°C.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
