PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat nonaqueous secondary battery having excellent reliability.SOLUTION: A flat nonaqueous secondary battery includes an outer can having a bottom face having a flat plate part and the periphery of L-shaped cross-section, and a sidewall expending upward from the end of the bottom face, and a sealing plate having an upper surface wall having a flat plate part and the periphery of L-shaped cross-section, and a sidewall extending downward from the end of the upper surface wall. The outer can is connected conductively with the collector of an electrode A that is any one of the positive electrode and negative electrode, the sealing plate is connected conductively with the collector of an electrode B, i.e., the pair electrode of the electrode A, and an insulating coating of 50 μm thick or less, for preventing short circuit to the pair electrode, is formed at at least a part extending upward from the end of the flat plate part in the rim of the inner surface of the outer can, and a part extending downward from the end of the flat plate part in the rim of the inner surface of the sealing plate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
