PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a grain size distribution so as to increase a ratio of a coarse grain raw material in a blast furnace raw material during an initial discharge of the raw material charged into a blast furnace.SOLUTION: A method for charging a raw material into a blast furnace includes: a step in which a coarse grain raw material 13 and a fine grain raw material 12 are fed in this order into an upper bunker 5 in a center field type bell-less raw material charging apparatus 20 where a lower bunker 8 disposed at a top part of a bell-less blast furnace 18 and an upper bunker 5 connected with the lower bunker 8 disposed above the lower bunker 8 are arranged in upper and lower stages by a plurality of ports 6a and 6b; a step in which the raw material fed into the upper bunker 5 is discharged to the lower bunker 8 through the plurality of ports 6a and 6b; and a step in which the raw material discharged to the lower bunker 8 is charged into the bell-less blast furnace 18.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
