PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an analog-to-digital converter which enables the reduction of the fluctuation in held voltage, and enables the increase of conversion accuracy in converting analog signals into digital signals.SOLUTION: An analog-to-digital converter 1 comprises: an analog-to-digital conversion part 10 having capacitors 11 corresponding to bits of a digital signal and serving as a voltage output part which charges the capacitors 11 by an input reference voltage Vand outputs a comparing voltage Vcorresponding to each bit; and a comparing part 20 which has a hold capacitor 21 for holding voltages based on analog signals and a switch 12 for controlling, by its ON/OFF operation, voltages held by the hold capacitor 21, and makes comparison between the comparing voltage Voutput by the analog-to-digital conversion part 10 and voltages based on analog signals and outputs results of the comparison. The capacitor 11 corresponding the most significant bit is formed by capacitances resulting from division in an even number and connected in parallel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
