An air-conditioning apparatus includes: a compressor (11) allowing refrigerant injection and compress and discharge the refrigerant at a high temperature; an indoor heat exchanger (31) exchanging heat between air and refrigerant; a first flow rate control device (32) adjusting and controlling a flow rate of refrigerant; and a plurality of outdoor heat exchangers (13 being in parallel to exchange heat between outside air and refrigerant; a first defrosting pipe (26) allowing a branched part of the refrigerant discharged from the compressor (11) to pass and flow into the outdoor heat exchanger (13) to be defrosted; a reducing device (18) adjusting a pressure of refrigerant passing through the first defrosting pipe (26) to a medium pressure; a second defrosting pipe (27) from which the refrigerant that has passed through the outdoor heat exchanger (13) to be defrosted is injected into the compressor (11); and a reducing device (20) adjusting a pressure of refrigerant passing through the second defrosting pipe (27) to an injection pressure.
