<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a liquid ejector from being enlarged while allowing pressure cleaning and separation of bubbles generated in the liquid. <P>SOLUTION: A first liquid reservoir for discharging bubbles in the liquid to the atmosphere is provided in a liquid storage tank. A second liquid reservoir for storing liquid in a sealed state is provided on the downstream side of the first liquid reservoir. Bubbles are separated to the first liquid reservoir by returning the liquid from an ejection head to the first liquid reservoir. Pressure cleaning is carried out by pressurizing the second liquid reservoir to supply the liquid with pressure to the downstream side of the second liquid reservoir. The bubble separation mechanism and the pressurization mechanism are provided in the liquid storage tank, thereby reducing the entire size of the apparatus. Furthermore, a shielding member is erected on the bottom face of the second liquid reservoir so that the components in the liquid precipitated in the second liquid reservoir may be prevented from flowing into the liquid passage on the downstream side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
