The device has first sliding contacts at first stationary contact lines for power supply (L1-L3), and second sliding contacts at second stationary contact lines for transmitting information through the communication lines (Rail A,Rail B), connected between stationary controller (SSTAT) and mobile controller (SMOB). An operating unit is grounded through a coupling unit (KK). A monitoring unit is arranged for monitoring leakage current between coupling unit and ground potential (PE) and for switching off the power supply, when the leakage current exceeds maximum permissible amount. An independent claim is included for a method for securing a driverless transport unit with short circuit between power supply and information transfer device. |
