This invention relates to a securement system for use with nasal cannula tubing, the securement system comprising a releasable, mechanical fastener on a substrate, where the substrate is divided into sections by slits or slots 3329. The slots render the substrate more flexible, so that it can conform to the underlying surface. The slots may follow a herringbone, zigzag or serpentine path. The substrate with the mechanical fastener may be a dermal patch 550 of a two-part securement system 500 (see figure 17) and may be attached to the face. The mechanical fastener may be a hook-and-loop material, the complimentary part of which 553 is attached to a user interface patch 552, which retains the nasal cannula arrangement in place. Also provided is a two-part securement system where the dermal patch defines a securement footprint, and the securing patch is contained within or bounded by the footprint. |
