Methods and apparatuses are provided for signal transmission and reception between a user equipment, a base station, and a server in a mobile communication system. The user equipment obtains control information related to traffic associated with the user equipment. The user equipment transmits a user plane message created based on the control information, to the server, via the base station to a server. The server checks the validity of the control information and sends the result to the mobile network. This method may be used to offer sponsored data access to a user equipment. The control information may include a coupon or an access token.
