A joint assembly 100 comprises an end portion 112 of a first component 110 that is accommodated within an end portion 122 of a second component 120 , with each respective first and second end portion 112,122 having a corresponding first and second location feature 114, 124, and an elongate resilient helical connection member 140. The second location feature 124 comprises a proximal portion 127 and a distal portion 128, with a clamping ring 144 accommodated within the distal portion 128. When the joint is assembled, the first and second location features 114, 124 together define an annular cavity into which is accommodated the connection member 140 to interlock the first and second components 110, 120 to one another. The clamping ring 144 is adapted to exert a radially inwardly directed clamping force on the connection member 140. |
