<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain accurate body composition information on the abdomen by using the shape of the abdomen. <P>SOLUTION: The body composition measuring device includes: a width obtaining part 11A for obtaining the vertical width and lateral width of the abdomen of a subject in a supine position; a deformation degree obtaining part 122 for obtaining the degree of deformation of the shape of the abdomen of the subject lying in a supine position from an oval shape defined by the obtained vertical width and lateral width of the abdomen; and an information obtaining part 124 for obtaining body composition information of the abdomen of the subject. The information obtaining part obtains the body composition information of the abdomen of the subject by using biological impedances of the abdomen of the subject and a coefficient based on the obtained degree of deformation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
