[Also in Group XXVI] In a shovelling machine two parts are pivotally connected and moved with respect to each by an hydraulically actuated motor having two co-axial cylinders 1, 2 of which one cylinder is attached to one part and the other cylinder to said other part to form an annual chamber 5 and said chamber 5 is separated into two elementary chambers 5a, 5b by two vanes 6, 7 connected to the cylinders 2, 1 respectively so that the direction of movement of one part with respect to the other part about the axis of the cylinders will be dependant as to which of the elementary chambers 5a, 5b liquid is admitted and exhausted through ports 8, 9 in the cylinder 1. The associated parts of the machine can be the chassis 12 and turret 11, the turret 11 and jib 10, the jib 10 and arm 15, and the arm 15 and the shovel 17. |
