An inflatable cushion for a vehicle air-bag system, comprising upper and lower layers of fabric woven from first yarns, comprising: a first connection, at which the upper and lower layers are joined to one another by yarns of the upper and/or lower layers of fabric; an inflatable chamber comprising a region over which the upper and lower layers of fabric are not connected to one another to form an internal cavity into which compressed gas may be introduced to inflate the cavity; and a second connection at which the upper and lower layers of fabric are joined to one another at least partially by one or more additional yarns which connect the upper and lower layers of fabric to one another, the additional yarns not comprising the yarns from which the upper and lower layers are woven. |
