The present disclosure relates to a receiving device, a receiving method, a transmitting device, a transmitting method, and a program through which it is possible to provide an application program simultaneously executed with AV content in hybrid-type broadcast. A control information acquisition unit acquires continuation range information for specifying a range on a time axis in which an operation of an application program simultaneously executed with AV content is able to continue. An application control unit terminates an application program being executed based on the continuation range information. The present disclosure can be applied to, for example, a television receiver configured to receive a digital television broadcast signal. |
