In a wrapping wing for a flying body, having two rotatably mounted wing surfaces connected at the edge region, lying on the body surface in a rest position and spaced apart after unfolding, the surfaces are connected on the front and rear edges and a prestressed spreading device (5), in the interior cavity, has a spring-loaded spacing element (6), which in the rest state is flat and prestressed between the surfaces and in the working position holds the surfaces at a specific spacing. A wrapping wing for a flying body comprises two wing surfaces connected together in at least sections of the edge region and rotatably mounted on the outer surface of the body about a shaft lying in the flight direction. In a rest position the surfaces lie on the outer surface of the body, and after unfolding into the working position their interior surfaces are at a specific spacing, defined by a spacer. The novel features are that the wing surfaces are connected together at least locally on the front and rear edges; and a prestressed spreading device (5) for the wing surfaces, located in the interior cavity, has at least one spring-loaded spacing element (6), which (a) in the rest state is flat and prestressed between the wing surfaces, (b) is converted on activation of the wrapping wing and (c) on reaching the working position holds the interior sides of the wing surfaces at a specific, aerodynamically effective spacing. |
