Apparatus and method for sealingly connecting tubular members 12, 32 in a wellbore is described. In an arrangement where a portion 24 of a tubular member 12 is radially expanded into sealing contact within a second tubular member 32, the second tubular member 32 has circumferential recesses 50 on an inner surface and a resilient member 180 protrudes from a side wall of the recesses 50. The resilient member 180 is acted on by the portion of the tubular member during expansion and maintains sealing contact to the portion after expansion. The resilient member 180 may be a metal ring and the recesses 50 may be filled with fluid exclusion rings 182 a, b, c. |
