A shearable insert for a downhole plug, comprising: a body having a first end and a second end; a shoulder formed on an outer surface of the body, and located between the first and second ends of the body; one or more threads disposed on the outer surface of the body between the shoulder and the first end of the body, wherein the one or more threads on the outer surface of the body are adapted to couple with one or more threads of the downhole plug; one or more shearable threads disposed on the inner surface of the body between the shoulder and the first end of the body, wherein the shearable threads are adapted to couple with one or more threads of a setting tool and release the setting tool when exposed to a predetermined axial force; and wherein the body comprises a ball seat formed on the inner surface thereof, and located between the first shoulder and the second end of the body, wherein the one or more threads disposed on the outer surface of the body are positioned between the ball seat and the first end of the body, and wherein the one or more shearable threads disposed on the inner surface of the body are positioned between the ball seat and the first end of the body. | ||
