The present invention relates to a separating membrane for a secondary battery and an electrochemical device including the same, and more particularly, to a composite separating membrane provided with a porous coating layer including organic particles on a surface thereof, and an electrochemical device using the same with improved performance such as ion conductivity and resistance characteristics. The composite separating membrane for an electrochemical device according to the present invention is provided with the porous coating layer formed by using the organic particles having a uniform particle diameter distribution, and therefore, has superior air permeability and ion conductivity. Furthermore, since the organic particles used in the present invention have densities smaller than those of inorganic particles, particle precipitation does not occur in a gravitational direction in processes of coating and/or drying the coating layer, and pores formed in the coating layer have very uniform properties in the thickness direction of the coating layer in terms of the sizes and the distribution thereof. |
