CID GASKET AND CYLINDER TYPE SECONDARY BATTERY HAVING THE SAME

The present invention relates to a current interrupt device (CID) gasket for a cylindrical secondary battery and a secondary battery including the same. The CID gasket is coupled to a top cap covering an upper end opening of a can of the cylindrical secondary battery and a cap assembly including a safety vent provided in a lower end of the top cap. The CID gasket includes: a gasket part coupled to a lower end of the safety vent, and provided in a cylindrical shape; and a CID filter part integrally formed on an inner side surface of the gasket part and blocking current when the inner pressure of the can of the cylindrical secondary battery is increased, wherein the lower end surface of the gasket part and the lower end surface of the CID filter part are coplanar to each other. According to the present invention, the number of introduced electrodes can be increased by reducing an unnecessary space in the battery, and assembly time can be reduced by reducing an assembly process.
