Disclosed is a semiconductor light emitting device which is damaged by an ejection needle when being treated. The semiconductor light emitting device includes a plurality of semiconductor layers having a first semiconductor layer having first conductivity, a second semiconductor layer having second conductivity different from the first conductivity, and an active layer in which electrons and holes are recombined with each other to generate light; a first electrode electrically connected to the first semiconductor layer to supply either electrons or holes; a second electrode electrically connected to the second semiconductor layer to supply the other; and an extension electrode extending on the semiconductor layers and electrically connected to the second electrode, wherein the extension electrode bypasses an impact area against which the ejection needle collides. |
