The present invention provides a battery of which cycling performances and expansion characteristics can be improved. The battery has an electrolyte along with a positive electrode (21) and a negative electrode (22). The electrolyte is combined with a separator (23) installed between the positive electrode (21) and the negative electrode (22). The negative electrode (22) has a film (22C) on the negative electrode active material layer (22B) installed in a negative electrode current collector (22A). The film (22C) contains a metallic salt, and the metallic salt has a hydroxyl group and at least one side among a sulfone acid group and a carboxylic acid group. In the negative electrode (22), lithium ions can be easily occluded and released and decomposition of the electrolyte is suppressed at the same time.
