The present invention relates to a lithium secondary battery including: an electrode assembly composed of a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a separation film arranged between the positive electrode and the negative electrode; and an electrolyte. More specifically, the present invention relates to a high performance lithium secondary battery designed for a device requiring high outputs of an electric vehicle, a hybrid electric vehicle, a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, or a power storage system, etc. The negative electrode includes a lithium titanium oxide (LTO) as a negative electrode active material. According to the lithium secondary battery, a capacity of the negative electrode is 70-105% based on a capacity of the positive electrode. |
