The present invention provides an apparatus for opening and shutting a transplanting cup (30) of an onion transplanter. The present invention relates to an apparatus for opening and shutting a transplanting cup of an onion transplanter having an engine and a transmission supported by a frame (F), and the apparatus comprises: an action cam (10) rotating by an output shaft of the transmission; a wire (14) pulled toward a cam follower (12) or moving to the opposite side depending on the rotation of the action cam (10) as one end of the cam follower (12), therein one side is elastically supported to adhere to the action cam (10), is connected to the other side of the cam follower (12); a first driving plate (32) supported to a hopper frame (22) to be rotated on a support shaft (32c) and rotating on the support shaft (32c) in a fixed section by the movement of the wire; a second driving plate (34) connected to the hopper frame (22) to be rotated on a support shaft (34c); a first transplanting cup (32) and a second transplanting cup (34) connected to the lower end of the first driving plate and the second driving plate respectively; an interlocking means opening the first and the second transplanting cups at the same time by interlocking the first and the second driving plates; and a spring connected between the first driving plate and the second driving plate so as to support the first transplanting cup and the second transplanting cup in the direction the first and second transplanting cups are closed each other. The first and second transplanting cups are autonomously interlocked and open.
