The present invention relates to a negative electrode slurry composition and a manufacturing method thereof. The manufacturing method includes the following steps: (a) manufacturing a suspension by mixing a cellulose type composition including a carboxymethyl group, a conducting agent, and a dispersion solvent; (b) obtaining slurry by mixing the suspension and a negative electrode active material; and (c) manufacturing a slurry composition by adding diluent and a binder to the slurry. A degree of substitution of the cellulose type composition including the carboxymethyl group is 0.2 to 1.5. The negative electrode slurry composition, manufactured by manufacturing a pre-suspension by controlling a rotational speed of a dispersion device by applying a high speed dispersion method, can allow the cellulose type composition including the carboxymethyl group having a high molecular weight and a low degree of substitution to be included, and induce uniform dispersion of an active material or the conducting agent, thereby reducing electrode compressibility and internal resistance of an electrode. |
