The present specification discloses compositions comprising a plurality of therapeutic compound having antitussive activity and methods and uses for treating a coughing condition with such compositions.

A pharmaceutical composition comprising 0.5 mg/mL to 10 mg/mL of Theobromine, 0.25 mg/mL to 5 mg/mL of Dextromethorphan, and 0.1 mg/mL to 5 mg/mL of Phenylephrine, wherein the pharmaceutical composition does not include an anti-histamine and wherein the therapeutically-effective amount of the theobromine is at most 250 mg/day.
