Use of polymer containing structural units of monomers comprising (meth)acrylate derivative (I) and/or (II), for demulsifying oil/water emulsion, in an amount of 0.0001-5 wt.%, based on the oil content of the emulsion to be demulsified, is claimed. Use of polymer containing structural units of monomers comprising (meth)acrylate derivative of formula (R 1>-C(=CH 2)-C(=O)-O-(A-O) k) (I) and/or (R 2>-C(=CH 2)-C(=O)-O-(B 1>-O) l) (II), for demulsifying oil/water emulsion, in an amount of 0.0001-5 wt.%, based on the oil content of the emulsion to be demulsified, is claimed. A, B 1> : 2-4C alkylene; R 1>, R 2> : H or CH 3; and k, l : 1-1000. An independent claim is also included for a polymer containing structural units of monomer (I) or different structural units of monomer (I) and (II). |
