1. A method of constructing glasses for viewing a 3D stereoscopic image display comprising:
sputtering first layers of optical materials onto a flexible substrate to form a first interference filter, sputtering second layers of optical materials onto a second flexible substrate to form a second interference filter having a response complementary to the response of the first optical filter, controlling the compressive stress of the sputtering of the first and second layers to provide a built in curvature to the first and second optical filters to form first and second lenses and; fitting the lens into a frame.
