PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device and imaging method that can reduce an influence of interference of photographing light among optical systems in accordance with an actual photographing situation with a simple processing configuration.SOLUTION: An imaging device 30 comprises: a photographing optical system 11 that includes a first optical system 21 and a second optical system 22, which have an independent characteristic; an image pick-up element 24 hat has a plurality of light reception sensors 25a and 25b performing a pupil division of light passing through the corresponding optical system of the first optical system 21 and the second optical system 22, and receiving the pupil-divided light; an image generation unit 36 that generates a first photographing image from an imaging signal to be output from the light reception sensor 25a corresponding to the first optical system 21, and generates a second photographing image from an imaging signal to be output from the light reception sensor 25b corresponding to the second optical system 22; a focus adjustment unit 32 that independently adjusts each focus state of the first optical system 21 and the second optical system 22; and a focus controller 34 that controls the focus adjustment unit 32 on the basis of importance information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11 |
