PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a catalyst for exhaust gas purification having excellent methane combustion activity in a low temperature range.SOLUTION: A method for producing a catalyst for exhaust gas purification comprises a step of substituting a part of metallic cobalt carried on a carrier by palladium by galvanic substitution, namely, a step of substitution reaction using a difference in ionization tendency between two metals, cobalt and palladium.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
