PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device capable of efficiently cooling a phosphor wheel, and reducing a size, and suppressing an increase in manufacturing costs due to an increase in the number of components and a projector including the light source device capable of reducing a size, and suppressing an increase in manufacturing costs.SOLUTION: There is provided a light source device 2 including: at least one semiconductor laser 12; a cooling device 50 of the semiconductor laser 12 including a plurality of fins 52; and a phosphor wheel 30 to which light from the semiconductor laser 12 is made incident, in which a part of the phosphor wheel 30 is arranged between the fin 52 and fin 52 of the cooling device 50 of the semiconductor laser 12.
