PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, conventionally, FCOT may be delayed since reading of images on a document is started after securing a storage region for storing image data generated by reading images on the document.SOLUTION: A printer performs control in such a manner that, before securing the storage region for storing image data generated by reading the document in storage means, reading of images on the document is started and after the storage region is secured, the image data generated by the reading is stored in the storage means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
