PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pedal retreat amount suppression device capable of suppressing a retreat amount of an operation pedal even when side plate shapes on both sides in a vehicle width direction are different, regarding the pedal retreat amount suppression device which suppresses a retreat amount of the operation pedal by using buckling of a pair of side plates for configuring a pedal bracket.SOLUTION: A brake pedal device 1 has a pedal bracket 10 and an operation pedal 15, and it bends and deforms the pedal bracket 10 while buckling it, and suppresses a retreat amount of a step part 17 of the operation pedal 15. The pedal bracket 10 is configured by a substantially flat plate-like first side plate 20, a second side plate 25 having a bulging part 25A, a back plate 30 and a bracket 50. The bracket 50 is joined to a lower end of the back plate 30, and has a side plate joint part 51, a buckling deformation auxiliary part 53 and a regulation part 54. When a load F acts on an upper end of the pedal bracket 10, the back plate 30 and the buckling deformation auxiliary part 53 bend and deform, and according to that, the buckling deformation auxiliary part 53 moves to the first side plate 20 side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
