PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shape measuring device and a shape measuring method, capable of suppressing complication of measurement processing.SOLUTION: A three-dimensional measuring machine 1 comprises: a probe 21 having a gage head at the tip thereof; a movement mechanism which moves the gage head along a surface of a measured object; a contour setting unit 52 which sets a design contour based on shape data of the measured object; an AD setting unit 53 which sets an AD value; a route setting unit 54 which sets a PCC curve composed of a plurality of segments on the basis of the design contour and the AD value; a route determination unit 55 which determines whether the number of segments exceeds a prescribed maximum number of segments; a position measuring unit 35 which detects the amount of push-in of the probe 21; and an error detection unit 36 which detects a measurement error on the basis of the amount of push-in of the probe 21. When the number of segments exceeds the maximum number of segments, the AD setting unit 53 increments the AD value. When the error detection unit 36 detects a measurement error, the AD setting unit 53 decrements the AD value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
