PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effect provision device, even when the number of times of accessing from DSP to an external memory is restricted, highly efficiently achieving targetted sound effects in high quality.SOLUTION: An effect provision device includes: data writing means for writing sample data acquired from musical sound data into one memory area of external memories; and data reading means for reading the written sample data from the external memory. The data to be supplied to the data writing means have any format of a first format and a second format.
