PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding orbit high frequency electron accelerator capable of achieving a buncher function with a simple structure.SOLUTION: In a folding orbit high frequency electron accelerator, a notch 30 is provided in one internal conductor 22b arranged between an acceleration gap 23 and a beam injector 24. In the notch 30, a bunch gap 31 is formed on a beam orbit before first time acceleration. The distance between the acceleration gap 23 and bunch gap 31, an acceleration high frequency voltage given to an acceleration cavity resonator 20 and the electron incident voltage of the beam injector 24 are set so that the phase difference of the high frequency acceleration voltage between the acceleration gap 23 and bunch gap 31 is 270 degree ± n×360 degree (n is an integer).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7 |
