PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IPM (Interior Permanent Magnet) motor which has a good balance between maximum torque and output and can be miniaturized and made high output.SOLUTION: A brushless motor 5 is an IPM type motor in which a rotor is rotated by magnet torque and reluctance torque, and includes a stator 6 and a rotor 7 in which magnets 22 are buried. The stator 6 includes a ring-shaped back core section 13, a plurality of teeth 14 and a slot 16. The brushless motor 5 includes four magnets 22 and six slots 16 and has 2P3S×n configuration. The back core section 13 and the teeth 14 are formed in such a way that a ratio Wy:Wt of the radial width dimension Wy of the back core portion 13 to the peripheral-direction width dimension Wt of the teeth 14 is 1:1.4 to 2.5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
