A device for collecting, transporting and discharging a material sample from the surface by means of a mobile excavating modular system is disclosed. The subject matter of the invention relates to a mechatronic system formed by mechanical, electronic and computing means, with a differential four-wheel mobile base and a special traction drive for regolith-type surfaces, an excavation system with adjustable positions, and a chain arrangement with buckets for conveying the material from the surface into a container and a storage and discharge system by a conveyor belt with blades for distributing the material and driving the same to be deposited into a container. The system is wirelessly controlled by the transmission and reception of video and data through an access point and a remote station to the operation site using a method comprising algorithms implemented in a computer and a controller so that the operator can view the parameters in the control station and, in the event of a loss of communication, the system continues operating in an assisted manner based on the knowledge generated by the user. The power system is recharged by means of a solar cell arrangement, said electric power being stored in batteries. Therefore, the system is able to deposit the material of the surface in a container for remotely performing a search in a remote or hazardous location to humans. |
