PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle drive unit capable of more rapidly attenuating magnetic fluxes after notch-off, and to provide an inverter controller.SOLUTION: A vehicle drive unit includes an induction motor, an inverter and an inverter control part. The induction motor outputs driving force. The inverter drives the induction motor. The inverter control part controls the inverter. The inverter control part performs notch-off for stopping output from the induction motor in response to input signals, and controls the inverter so as to apply d-axis electric current in a direction opposite to the one before the notch-off, after the notch-off.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
