PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prohibit the abnormality diagnosis on a generator under appropriate conditions.SOLUTION: A hybrid electric vehicle comprises: abnormality diagnosis means that detects whether abnormality occurs to a generator on the basis of a target rotating speed and an actual rotating speed; charging means that charges a battery using regenerative energy generated by the motor; determination means that determines whether the battery is in a state where battery reception margin is insufficient; and prohibition means that prohibits the abnormality diagnosis means from diagnosing whether abnormality occurs to the generator when the determination means determines that the battery is in the state where the battery reception margin is insufficient and in a regenerative state where the battery is charged on the basis of the regenerative energy.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
