PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate specification of a modification position which can complicate a software structure.SOLUTION: A structural change detecting apparatus 101 extracts at least any one of dependencies added for software modification from a collection of dependencies among components in a group of software components. The structural change detecting apparatus 101 calculates a first index value indicating complexity of a software structure, based on residual dependencies of the collection of dependencies among the components excluding the extracted dependency. The structural change detecting apparatus 101 outputs information that specifies the extracted dependency, if a difference between the calculated first index value and a second index value indicating the complexity of the software structure based on the collection of dependencies among the components is equal to or more than a threshold T.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
