According to the present invention, a video signal processing method comprises: a step of determining a length of a current string to be decoded based on a sample string matching technique in a current block; a step of determining a reference string based on at least one of the length of the current string, or a string vector with regard to the current string; and a step of predicting the current string using the reference string. As such, the method is able to effectively predict/restore one or more sample arrays based on the sample string matching technique.
