PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film having such characteristics that when a layer including an optical anisotropy layer in the optical film is transferred to a transfer target, the layer including the optical anisotropy layer can be uniformly released from a substrate and that decrease in an in-plane retardation value under high temperature drying conditions can be suppressed.SOLUTION: A production method of an optical film is provided, which includes: a step of applying a composition comprising a polymerizable liquid crystal compound on an alignment film of a laminate having a substrate and the alignment film; and a step of irradiating the laminate coated with the composition with active energy rays. The step of irradiating the laminate with active energy rays includes twice or more times of irradiation of active energy rays, in which a ratio of the energy of active energy rays in the first irradiation of active energy rays to the energy of active energy rays in the second irradiation of active energy rays satisfies a specific range, and the energy of active energy rays in the second irradiation of active energy rays is 10 to 10000 mJ/cm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
