PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust wavelength deviation of an optical signal with high accuracy.SOLUTION: An optical transmission system includes a transmitter for transmitting an optical signal, and a receiver for receiving an optical signal. The transmitter has a modulation unit for changing the frequency of an optical signal. The receiver has a filter, a measurement section, a detector, and an output section. The filter passes an optical signal of a predetermined frequency band, among the received optical signals. The measurement section measures the intensity of an optical signal passed through the filter. The detector detects the center frequency of the optical signal, based on the intensity of an optical signal measured when changing the frequency of an optical signal, in a state where the filter is set the band of passing an optical signal to a predetermined frequency band corresponding to the optical signal. The output section outputs the information indicating the center wavelength thus detected to the transmitter. The transmitter controls the wavelength of the optical signal based on the information outputted from the receiver.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
