PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system, and a management device and a management method such that platemaking conditions and printing conditions for obtaining printed matter of high quality through flexographic printing can be easily grasped.SOLUTION: An evaluation region in which at least one of items evaluated with an evaluation image for image characteristic evaluation can be evaluated is detected from a document image. First characteristic data is obtained by measuring characteristics of the document image from the evaluation region. Second characteristic data obtained by previously measuring characteristics of the evaluation image, and a flexographic printing characteristic model showing correspondence between platemaking conditions and printing conditions of a flexographic printing plate in printing the evaluation image as a measurement source of the second characteristic data are stored. A target value of the first characteristic data is set. Platemaking conditions and printing conditions corresponding to the target value of the first characteristic data are determined by referring to the flexographic printing characteristic model. Based upon the first characteristic data obtained by measuring the document image and a result of comparison with the target value, it is determined whether at least one of the platemaking conditions and printing conditions are corrected or not.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12 |
