PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor type ultrasonic motor which is excellent in a bending vibration (elliptic motion) transmission property even though it is formed of resin.SOLUTION: A rotor type ultrasonic motor 1 comprises: a hollow disc-shaped electromechanical conversion element 2; a ring-shaped elastic body 3 which is fixed to one surface of the electromechanical conversion element 2 and includes a ring-shaped interdigital part in which a plurality of protrusions are formed with an interval in a circumferential direction; and a rotor 5 which is brought into contact with the interdigital part and rotates with elliptic motion on the surface following a progressive wave excited in the elastic body by the electromechanical conversion element. The ring-shaped elastic body is formed of thermoplastic resin, and the height of each protrusion constituting the interdigital part is adjusted to 1.5-10 mm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
