摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tungsten electrode material for resistance welding capable of elongating a lifetime of an electrode, even when welding is carried out with a heavy current.SOLUTION: A tungsten electrode material for resistance welding comprising a sintered body obtained by, for example, pressurizing at 1 GPa or higher and sintering at the temperature of 1,000°C or higher for 10 min or longer, pure tungsten particle powder having a purity of 99.90 mass% or more and having an average particle size of 0.25-50 μm, in which a relative density of the sintered body is 98.5% or higher, is suitable as an electrode material for resistance welding through which a heavy current (for example, a welding current of 10,000 A or more) is allowed to flow.SELECTED DRAWING: None
