PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid transition to a sleep mode even when a no-input state from an operator continues over a prescribed time or more while a screen pertaining to at least a settlement process is displayed, enabling the settlement process of a transaction content to complete promptly.SOLUTION: When any screen is displayed on a touch panel and an input operation for the screen is detected, but no input operation on the screen is detected over a certain time or more, a settlement terminal device places the touch screen into a sleep mode. For a time in which a screen pertaining to a settlement process executed with at least a settlement destination device is displayed on the touch panel, even when no input operation on the screen is detected over a certain time or more, the settlement terminal device omits transition of the touch panel to the sleep mode and continues displaying the content displayed on the touch panel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7 |
