PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable restoration by a restoration file utilizing an external storage medium, initial setting by an initialization file and generation and storage of the restoration file by utilizing characteristics of an external storage medium for a recording device.SOLUTION: A recording device 11 is provided with a control section 20 executing restoration processing restoring a basic system based on a restoration file in a state of the restoration file being stored in a USB memory UM when the recording device 11 is activated in a state of the USB memory UM is connected thereto, executing initial setting of the basic system based on an initialization file in a state of the initialization file being stored in the USB memory UM when the USB memory UM is connected thereto during operation of the recording device 11, and generating the restoration file restoring the basic system and storing the restoration file in the USB memory UM if not in a state of the initialization file being stored in the USB memory UM.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
